Matty bud,

Sorry to hear the moodster has laid you off, hope you find a good job mate. Things with me are cool, being made redundant in two months and I'll be getting my garage converted very soon for the bass workshop.

Speak soon,

Robbie.

I've got to say that the fish tail design is one of the coolest shapes I have seen for quite a while. Definately on the list for future order and it's not very often I say that !!!

Hi All,

Well today I got the body ready for gluing the 2mm dyed black tuilpwood when it arrives tomorrow hopefully, going to machine the one piece Ash top tomorrow (lots of wood mess)

So the body is gonna look like this shape wise!

bass is looking awesome, cant imagine how you feel alex...i cant wait for this to be finished never mind you lol

liking the car to, that thing is more than twice as old as me!

Wow, it's looking great! Unfortunately the car looks even better, which somewhat detracts from the impact... :)

I presume the black tulipwood veneer needs glueing first and then the chambering routing out through that? Do we need to suss out where the knobs will go as the control cavity will be routed from the back or would one large chamber in each wing be the way to go, without a separate control cavity and just a small backplate cut out for access to the pots?

Have had a reply from Dingwall about the 4-way pot and circuitboard so I'm ordering that from them, will get it sent straight to you. Need your new address!

Hi All,

Ash top machined to size today which made me lots of mess, got to get one piece tops cut to size in the future. So this is what its gonna look like!

With the ETS bridge unit.

Also the Black tuilpwood turned up today,

Cheers,

Robbie.

Hi Guys,

Spoke to Alex last night and we had a good chat about the bass and stuff, today i machined out the upper cavity and glued the black tuilpwood and Ash top on the bass. Leaving over the weekend and we will get cracking on the bridge ancor and rear cavity next week.

Clamps!

Cheers,

Robbie.

Robbie, this is the control cavity of a Dingwall with volume, 4-way switch and passive tone with push/pull bluEQube filter, from left to right - just to give you an idea of clearance needed for the switch and the directly mounted circuit board:
