Well, here it is, freshly assembled from Fenrandez (1981-ish) body, pickup and bridge, and new maple fretless neck (EYparts, made in China):

My recently acquired 74. I did post this up in the P bass thread but it belongs here as well.

My latest purchase, my first black bass and my first five string! Satin finish Fender modern player :) Great value for money bass really pleased with it! Great pick up selector switch on these giving you plenty of sound options with those beasty Humbuckers!

Not got one myself, but I figured that we didn't want anyone accusing us of being racist (bassist?) with the white basses thread lol. Plus there are some nice ones out there. So... what you got?

Here's mine: Geddy Lee, Japan made, with cab and Carvin amp.

good choice, and if you put the right pickups in these pilots they're epic.

They came with EMGs as standard. Couldn't be better. :)

Nothing special compared to some here, but for £70, paid up over 4 or 5 weeks, I reckon I did OK...

Not a great pic, but non-reflective black basses are buggers to photograph….

Bongo 5er in stealth, none more black, and my SR5 fretless.

You certainly did (assuming you needed it!). No reason why this shouldn't play and sound as good as any on this page.

I'd never be able to find it in the dark then….

Might have to install a tracker.

That black Geddy Lee is a beauty! And I rarely, if ever say that about any Fenders.

Whilst I'm here, here's my Overwater by Tanglewood Contemporary Jazz with Rotosound Nexus strings.

And it has a matching headstock (really, how hard is it to supply a lovely matching headstock?!)

And you can see a bit more of the lovely see-through flame maple here:
