Just the pickups actually. It's the usual poor quality Fender switch, I'd heard of a lot of quality issues with these and thought, well, I'm fine, they  must be  talking rubbish, then it cut out the other day in the bridge position. I  always prefer blend on basses so that might give me the impetus to get on  and do it

I swapped mine for a KiOgon loom with stacked volume controls... works a treat and sounds much better.

I had it made by someone on here. Can't remember the chaps name, but he made lots for Basschatters. He swore he would never work with carbon fibre again after making this one.

Although it's not the same, there are some carbon fibre wrap/laminates that look pretty good and would be a lot less trouble for a scratchplate
