whynot
I had one Steve, several years ago. Purchased used here in the UK for only £500 but i could not get on with it, the way it hung and pretty heavy I found. It ended up in Scotland. Pete Academy
I bought a Steinberger L2 in 1983. I waited 6 months for it, as they were so popular. I recently sold it and bought a Fender 1979 Jazz. Great bass, but it was just gathering dust.

Chris2112
I watched that documentary a little while ago, very good stuff. Those Steinbergers are amazing basses, I only wish they were still being made, in the original 80's guise of all carbon graphite design. I'd buy one! If you like Steinberger tone, check out this video at 01:47 seconds, in the little section starting there before the solo. indiegrungesound
It may only be a wooden "Spirit" one, but my Steinberger is great!
bassbloke
An excellent find Sir. Fascinating from both a musical and business perspective. I started watching it at work, but got funny looks, even though it was my lunch break. Will watch the rest tonight. P.S. I used to find Steinbergers ugly and pointless. I now want one.
