dangerboy
Up for sale here is my Electro Voice PL20 mic. It's identical to an RE20 in every respect apart from the colour of the paint. The PL20 was the RE20 re-badged to take part in a different marketing plan. Last year it went to Electro Voice and had a new capsule installed and a complete re-foam. Still has their repair label attached. It sounds new, having only been used for three sessions since then. The finish, however, is more than 20 years old, hence it has a few marks. Not many though - these are built like tanks. One of the best mics out there for bass cabs, kick drum, voices (especially strong female voices or shouty blokes), and spoken word (it was built as a radio broadcaster's mic). I love it, and I'm only selling because I have two, but no two-bass band anymore. £250 including special delivery to the UK. Beedster
When you say 'shouty' do you mean loud rock shouty or Tom Waits style gravelly Steve? Also, any ribbon mics for sale? C PS used the SM7b for DB today and got some nice tones
Up for sale here is my Electro Voice PL20 mic. I've used the PL20 on the vocals for http://www.myspace.com/somoney and for http://www.myspace.com/strawberryandcreammusic so I think it'll handle anything. Tom Waits style might need a good pre, as I'm assuming they're quiet. Ribbons - I have one of these that can leave the house for £75 shipped. In box with mount. The ribbon has been re-tensioned, as it was showing the 'sag' typical of poor QC in chinese ribbon mic factories.
