Beno Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Hi Folks. Brian from Dublin here. Was steered to the site by the Bass Centre in Lon. I used to buy from them when I lived there in the 80's. Playing since 79 and have only had a few guitars and have stuck with the 76 precision I bought in 81-2 ? I'm no spring chicken as you've guessed by now. The lad I bought the P from told me he had swapped it for a Rickenbacker with Adam Clayton. At the time I didn't pay any attn to that as they hadn't conquered the world then. 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing If I could only get him to sign off on it now ! Good site here although not too sure how much I can offer as a member, but I'll certainly try. The reason I was in contact with the Bass Centre was to try to get a value of my P as I may have to sell it. They said anything between £1000 and £1750 depending on condition. I'm on a biker forum in Ireland and I know that 1st posters looking for something, is looked on as being very rude. No offence intended and I'm not just a using git. If I do sell the P, I'd defo prefer it went to someone that appreciated it. Cheers all, B. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Brian, welcome. No not rude. Your pricing is about right. It depends on condition & original parts etc. Post some pics in the general bass section with as much info as possible & we can give you an idea. Quote
fatback Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Hey, welcome to BC, Brian. Lots of lads here from Ireland and a few Dubs as well You'll like it Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Welcome to Basschat Brian, its certainly not rude selling an item to someone who you know will treasure it, and I`m sure many Basschatters will look at that P-Bass longingly - myself included. Quote
