Sorry, but I think it sounds like 70s cheese. The bass sound is ok, but the song using that sound is pants.

To be fair I don't think Phish do an especially good job of playing soul music. It's very wooden and white-sounding. Fine for a frat party but Stevie Wonder they ain't.

Nope, I like Stevie Wonder. The bassline itself is ok (just), but the song is lame. Very lame.

Having another listen (again), they'd be better covering the theme tune for Smokey & the Bandit!
