Bit of a d**k-head question, but does anyone know the on/off positions of the slap-switch on the Tanglewood (Cort) Curbow?

I've tried both positions (oo-err) on mine, and twiddling the pre-sets on the rear does not seem to make any difference in EQ in either position - unless it is too subtle for my aged ears!!

TIA,

Ross

I had one years ago and if I recall correctly 'down' is the ON position.

Correctl me if I'm wrong but it adds about 5-6db of super highs. You only really notice it when you roll the treble up to max. Try maxing Treble and adding a little bass and removing some mid (Is there a 3 band or a 2 band on these, I forget?)... start with the switch in the up position and pop a few notes... then flick the switch down and pop a few more. There should be a noticable 'zing' to the sound in the down position... If its wired up correctly that is...

Tried one the other day in a shop and I was well impressed, this was a fretless though, maybe the battery is knackered, the slap switch is a cack name for it, I agree but it does boosts the highs / mids when activated so if yours don't do much check the battery first.
