thedontcarebear Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I asked in the courier thing, but no reply, anyone know a courier that will insure a double boxed guitar that has no hardcase? Quote
Shaggy Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I used interparcel [ http://www.interparcel.com/ ] last year to post an uncased 7-string to N Ireland - no problem, cheap, sort it all on-line, and you choose the level of insurance and delivery speed you want. thedontcarebear Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 Thinking about it I just sent an amp with them and it was good! Cheers for reminding me, they don't mention guitars on their restricted items list, so should be okay. Quote
skywalker Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Most couriers should accept anything in a carton, (except hazardous chemicals) so long as the carton is robust enough to stand some knocks. I use UPS and sent a bass to a buyer just in it's original box with some bubble wrap around the neck for some added protection, and it was fine. Most basses are shipped from the manufacturers without hard cases. Steve Quote

paul, the Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 I'd check if you're concerned. I wouldn't mind betting that many think they're insured but, ultimately, the courier service wouldn't compensate in case of damage for a standard bass/guitar. Quote
