chilievans
Hello all I was wondering if any of you out there has had any experience of these pick ups and are they suitable for slap?
Grand Wazoo
I have two of them on my Moo Jazz Bass, and I particuarly chose them because being stacked they eliminate the hum and buzz common with Jazz single coils, they have a very accurate vintage sound and yes you can slap them and they will hit you back with a great big mallet. One word of advice keep them screwed in away as possible from the strings as they are p'haps a lil' too powerful. The good thing about these is that if you fit a push pull switch to each volume you can have the option of wiring them in both series and parallel as each of them comes with 4 conductors, I didn't bother with it as I wanted to retain the original Jazz sound without the series option. chilievans
Excellent Thanks bud The reason I was asking is I'm thinking of getting a new bass that has them fitted to it and I've no way of trying it before I buy it. It's a bit risky but its a gorgeous shuker bass and I think its worth the risk
Noisyjon
I have them in my Shuker Classic Jazz and they are great sounding units as GW has already said. Another +1 from me then!
