LukeFRC Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) years back before I played bass I did PA at church, a friend of mine had a 4x10 cab that was really lightweight and seemed to be made out of some brown plastic or fiberglass. the problem was with normal speakers it was very front heavy. what was it? LukeFRC Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 looking at their website I'm unsure. It was like an ABS flightcase, like for rack gear, with a removable front, and I guess on the back there must have been some kinda imput. you took the front off, and straight away there was 4 1o inch speakers. weighed little more than the weight of the drivers. I just wondered after all these years what it was. Quote
LukeFRC Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 going too, just not seen him in about 8 years other than passing hellos. facebook is my friend! Quote
Prime_BASS Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Itdefinatly interesting if I can get something lighter I'll get it. But there must be a reason it didn't catch on. Quote
LukeFRC Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 yeah, the design flaw was it was very front heavy. the positive was now you could do the same thing with neo drivers.... Quote
chris_b Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 The only plastic cabs I've seen are the Peavey, Electrovoice, Mackie type pole mounted PA cabs. Quote
