bigthumb Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Will be joining the club this week when my 4003 Mapleglo arrives. I'm assuming it has rounds on but I'd like flats. So what flats are recommended for a Rickenbacker? I like mid to high tension BTW. Quote

Clarky Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) Well, partly inspired by this thread - and thinking that the likes of Squire, Lee, Macca etc couldn't be wrong - I bought a new jetglo 4003 (2021 edition with unvarnished fretboard). Sadly it just doesn't sit right with me ergonomically - unfortunately I modded the bridge pickup with the Tube Ampology thumb rest bezel that most Rick users seem to do (from Rickysounds) and this of course invalidated my ability to send it back to the retailer.
