pauljdcooper Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 has anyone played one? what are they like? Just curious really. everyone with a P or J SX bass seems to rave about them, nobody seems to mention these.... Quote
SJA Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 hmm, looks like the old Bass Collection SB301/Speakeasy, sourced from China. http://www.rondomusic.com/sb301.html Quote
yorks5stringer Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 and available as the only SX bass in this country(without importing) on ebay.... Quote
SJA Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 meanwhile, the Bass Centre don't seem to stock Bass Collection basses anymore. IIRC they were charging £299 for them. it's £129 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SX-SB301-Bass-Guitar...3QQcmdZViewItem Quote
Jonny Walker Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 personally id with something with a bit more build to it... Quote
SJA Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 one thing about Bass Collections, can you put a Hipshot Detuner on them? - because the E string tuner goes the other way, and the string is attached on the upper side... you'd need a left-handed D-tuner, and would the string tighten/loosen the right way...my mind boggles...worth a post on the old SGC Nanyo thread...
