rapscallion Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I had one of these and it was superb. Good luck with the sale!
Lozz196 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I used to have one of these - prob did 500 gigs in a 3/4 year period with it, no backup, never any problems with it, great basses, and as said, a gigging machine! If I weren`t having to sell gear on at pres, I`d prob buy it, for nostalgia. Def recommended.
foxeth Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I'm pretty interested in this mate. I need to work out funds but will have a better idea come the start of the new year. I won't be able to see 350, but will work out what I can offer. Cheers
JJ Bass Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010
Dont like doing this but there's a bass ive been after for ages. For sale is my Yamaha BB1100s. Made in Taiwan in 1985. All original apart from the machine heads that were replaced many years ago, not sure what make they are. P/J pickup configuration and it has a passive/active/mute switch which is handy. Prity decent condition for its age, not perfect as it has been gigged continuously. Frets are really good considering the age and the ammount of use its had. It recently had the active electronics fixed. I'm not sure what was wrong with it but it wasnt a big job and its all fine now. The neck plays well and the truss rod is all working. No issues that I am aware of. Currently strung with D'addarrio Chromes. Fantistic bass that can cover many situations and it's a gigging machine. In my opinion the best bass you can get for the money. I'm looking for £350 for this. Located NE Lancashire. Please ask if you need any more info. Cheers!
Consider a swap?? Let me know!
BassBus Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I still have one of these. The neck is just lovely. Slim and easy to play.
niceguyhomer Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Pity there's a string missing otherwise I'd be on the M65 right now.
thisnameistaken Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I also used to have one of these and I also was very impressed with it. Mine was fretless and it sounded as good as any bass I've owned since.
MB1 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 MB1. "A small crack behind the Bride?" .....Fnarr Fnarr! BUMP!

BassBus Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Quite honestly people, you don't know what you're missing here. A real bargain at £250.
bw_user_name Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I've got a Japanese BB1100s and there's no way I'd sell it for £250, brilliant basses, keep a hold of it ..
BottomE Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Givin it a big nostalgic bump. Had a black one just like this (for over 20 years!). Great basses and built like tanks.
cocco Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Wouldn't fancy a trade or trade with cash adjustment would you?
