Public liability insurance

We've been quoted close to £200 for PLI this year and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for good insurers to get a quote from?

When I insured my Stingray with www.musicguard.co.uk , I got £1m public liability insurance included.
Think it was around £70 IIRC.

Ours was also closer to £70 for a similar level of cover. Can't remember who we got ours through now...

Costs us about £200 for £5million covering band and entourage.

You need to watch with ones that come with instrument insurance as they tend to cover you only, rather than the whole band.

Yep, worth mentioning that you get the PLI free with the yearly subscription and the £2k worth of insurance is also included free. I found that adding all my other gear to the policy to equal the value of my previous policy (prior to joining the MU) I saved over 50 quid!!!! Not only that, I've certainly benefitted greatly from being in the M.U - even just in a few months I have definitely gotten back the value of my subscription. Well done MU!

Not the MU from me (which sounds like a great idea) but I insure my gear through Musicguard & I automatically get £1m free cover for public liability unsurance on top of my gear protection.

You do all realise that I'm keeping an eye on who has the highest PLI and will be coming along to the winners next gig to have an accident - an opportunity for MEGA GAS...
