I think I just ordered mine from ebay Quote
thisnameistaken Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Garden centres usually sell it, it's much cheaper on eBay though. Quote
lettsguitars Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 maplins dont do it, and neither do b&q. you can get slug repellant tape from garden centres, but this is thinner than sheild tape, and also, has a non-conductive adhesive, which means you have to solder every peice together to form a 'circuit'. ebay. look for the stuff with conductive adhesive. I've done two of my basses and my daughters jazz with the very same, didn't know about the non-conductive adhesive. This means I now have to remove the pickguard yet again from my p bass project, oh bollix. Quote

chrisd24 Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 Ebay seems to be the best contender as i only need a bit and some of those rolls are massive! thanks for your reply's folks, although TIM seems to have a problem with this site i find it rather helpful Quote
gary mac Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Been thinking since I posted in this thread. The application of the garden centre foil did stop the buzzing on my bass, so maybe I won't strip it off and start again. Quote
essexbasscat Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 electrically conducting paint is also available on e -bay and easier to apply. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I'm a bit late to the thread but I always get my copper shielding from EBay as it works out cheaper Quote
