Rayman
My Black Stingray has been with me for about 2 years and I'll never get rid of it.
Ditto. My black ray and Sunburst jazz are for keeps. I've been through quite a few basses over the years, but these two are as close to "the ones" I've come. Still wish I'd got my Marcus Miller and my Lakland JO, if I'd managed to keep them too, I reckon I'd be GAS free.
thedontcarebear
Starting to think my Sandberg JJ is, but when I recieve the ACG eventually, maybe that will blow all away.
ped
It was a version of the Thumb designed by bassist John Davis which had a shallower body and neck than standard, making it a bit lighter and much easier to play than the standard Thumb. Unfortunately the email I had from Warwick about it has gone in a hard disc crash - I have a vague feeling that the JD was the first Thumb, being a cut-down Streamer, but this may be bollocks. Ah, it might not be bollocks after all.
Cheers, I didn't know that. Big fan of Thumb basses. Although my is a natural StingRay. I think they compliment each other superbly and I don't want to replace either of them, unless it's for an upgrade of the same thing. i.e. a Miller Jazz. The only thing I could want in addition is a Precision style bass.
Rich
For me there are two 'The One's, and I own them both... one is called Wal, the other's called Shuker. At some point, I'd like to have a fretless The One as well.
Jase
Yet to find ''the one'', but hoping it comes in the form of a 75' RI Jazz, with black on maple fingerboard and loads-a-chrome.....
You might enjoy a quick look at this: http://www.fareastguitars.co.uk/usedbasses.htm
EdwardHimself
i don't think i'll ever be pleased with just one bass. And i don't really have all that much to spend on basses either so i think it will be a long time before i find my "one" any way.
