I have the opposite problem. ill play a line and think " By eck thats a good one" and be quite pleased with myself only to hear the line a few days later in one of my favourite tunes

Next time, don't walk by, go in and ask.

I've done it many a time. The staff think you're mad/weird, but the distraction makes their day and yours if you find out what it is.

My son had a part time job and hated the stores own CD's so much that he took his own in. If you'd gone in to ask he'd have chatted all day about his music.
