jamesugster
Hi all, My name is James. I kinda new to bass forums but a mate of mind recommended bass chat.... so i thought i'd check it out! Anyway.... I have a beautiful 5 string Sei Flamboyant bass for sale made by Martin Peterson at the Gallery in Camden London. I am very reluctant to part with this stunning instrument however, due to the perils of a new mortgage i'm having to down size. The bass was custom built by Martin in 2003. It is in excellent condition and there is nothing you wouldn't expect to find on a working instrument. Here is the spec: • 34" Scale • 7 piece neck - maple and wenge • 24 frets • Black ABM Hardware • John East E-pro deluxe circuit - This is one of the most musical sounding circuits i have ever used. For more info please check out: http://www.east-uk.com/ The bass is configured with two volume controls but this could easily be changed to a volume / blend configuration. • Kent Armstrong Pickups • Walnut facing - front and back • Bridge - 19mm and nut - 45mm • headed I will try and upload some pix. According to recent reports the lead time to have one these made is about 14 months and i estimate with all the extras on the bass it would cost in the region of £2500 I have seen a couple of simular spec Sei basses on ebay go for up £2000 I am open to any realistic offers... I am based in Herfordshire. Any questions please email me or reply to this thread. Looking forward to much more basschatt-ing in dues coarse! lobematt
that is indeed a beauty, why does it have to strap buttons on the bottom though??
jamesugster
Rather than one central strap button it has one on the top and one on the bottom. Gives a little more flexibility and changes the height quickly depending on what style your playing. Useful bit of design...

jamesugster
very true - just got to remember to talk the strap-locks off!
jamesugster
Hi All again... Just had it pointed out to me that it looks like the bass could do with a bit of a polish! I can assure you it doesn't - its just my primitive photography skills. Its the flash bouncing back of the lacquer i think... Anyway here are a few more pics which should give a better a bit of a closer look. Price wise... i'm looking for £1500. Any question please of course drop me a line... jamesugster
Here are some more pix which people have been asking for.... Also one thing i omitted in my original spiel was that the bass was made for me, so I am the only owner. Any questions keep them coming. JAMES ps - Havent had a chance to re do the pictures, yet again please forgive the flash - i know it looks like it needs a polish!
