Jams in and around Derby?

Hi, not new here but thought I would mention that I have moved from Surrey to Derby and wondered if there is any info available on Jams in and around the Derby area?

I will still be Jamming in the Surrey area in the week as I will continue to work down in Surrey.

I guess Derby does not have any music jams judging by the lack of responses maybe I chose the wrong place to live?

The guy who used to run my local in Essex now runs the Old Bell on Sadler gate. Its got a good size venue room there and they probably have a jam night. The jam night they had in essex was fantastic.

The Old Bell is a GREAT venue. Good size room and attracts much of the local midlands rock scene. Definitely worth getting in touch them to see whats happening!

Yeah I played at the Bell a couple of times when I was uni up there, good venue, not sure about jam nights though. I know that there are a few acoustic nights at Ryans and a few other bars, possibly 5 Lamps at the bottom of Keddleston Road (if it's still open...?); they may have jam nights too.

To be honest, your better off heading to Nottingham on The Red Arrow via the train.

The Greyhound has a jam night most Sundays I believe.

The Bell has some sort of jam night in the market square.

Your best bet is to just go scout the local boozers and pubs as most don't advertise on the net.
