Compressor Pedals.

So im looking into getting a compressor as ive started using some more slap and pop in some projects.

Idealy i dont want to get a rackmount as im trying to avoid upgrading to a bigger case. My back wouldnt forgive me


So what are the better ones and which are to be avoided?

Google ovnilabs and read the reviews on there.

Be warened though, compressors do a variety of things and with most pedals only having space for a limited number of controls many only do one thing well - squish, limiting, sustain etc.

For slap I'm guessing you want limiting, but I could be wrong

there is a small article on compression on the latest issue of bass player mag, there is also a couple of pages with a review of the best pedals, could scan you a copy if you can't find it...

ill have a look out for a copy but if not then that'd rule

Ironically i used to have a lmb-3 and sold it. may be worth another shot though
