TomKent Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Thanks to the immense weight of my fretless (I really do mean immense, it weighs a ton!), I need a good strap which will support me while I play it. Any ideas as to the best one? Sorry if there have been a million a one topics about this.. Quote
WarPig Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) You'll get hundreds of various suggestions on this. You'll probably want an extra wide strap to help distribute the weight, if price isnt a concern, Levy's do some great wide straps, 3.5inch and 4. I personally use the MS26 which is 2.5 inches, its very well made. Edited December 8, 2010 by WarPig Quote
TomKent Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) I was looking into one of these types of straps or one of these .. don't know if they're good though haha? bartelby Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) I bought a Mono strap for my Steve Harris P, but it does slide about a bit. I'm going to try a 3.75" wide leather strap like I use on my 5 string. Rich Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I've been using one of the original not-Bass-Collection Comfort Strapps since, well, forever. Bloody marvellous thing. It's very noticeable that if I use my other strap, which is a padded 3" wide leather thing, my shoulder starts aching after a while. The thick padding on the Comfort one really seems to be doing its job well. Quote
chrismuzz Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I'd go for a wide strap. Levy's make the best straps in the world (and no i'm not an employee haha ) Quote

WHUFC BASS Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Comfort Strapps on all my guitars and basses. I like the look of some of them Minotaur straps though... http://minotaur.gr/catalog/ Quote
xilddx Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I am still looking for a really good Leather strap like the one I have now. It has to be VERY supple padded leather, and adjustable. And absolutely no plastic parts. Just leather with holes in. I can't seem to find one. Quote

They're kinda padded too... Quote
