*** Warwick Streamer LX 4 Electric Bass Guitar ***

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

This is my Warwick Streamer LX 4, bought new from Reidy's in Blackburn in Summer this year (2010).

Proper German-made Warwick (2009 build date).

*** ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE CONDITION / AS NEW ***

In fact, better than new condition, as I have meticulously waxed it in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

I'm an absolute beginner and have only played it very gently and occasionally since I bought it: really just scales and arpeggios. Never gigged nor taken outside and kept in 'Rockbag' in dedicated music room.

As you would expect of an instrument of this quality, it holds tune and intonates perfectly.

Brand new Elixir Nano strings on (and original Warwick Black label in case and also immaculate).

I genuinely love this guitar, but I ADORE my Fender 'P' bass and this suits my dubious musical tastes for 'Old-School' Country music and other 'Grandad-type' stuff a little better....!!

I really don't need 2 basses and it's a real shame to see an instrument as beautiful as this going unused.

Also included is an equally pristine deluxe DSL matching cream and brown strap which cost £40 and a 'Guitar Tech' clip-on tuner.

(I live near Hereford and purchasers are welcome to collect. I'm prepared to travel a reasonable distance to assist).

Is that a 'normal' LX as it appears to have a splated top? I'm not that up on the latest LX models but I thought that they were generally flame maple bodies... saying that if you paid £1800 then it may be the SE version.

Very nice, although like all basses with chrome hardware I can't help but think it would look better with black hardware. This thought always crosses my mind when I see the original bolt on Thumbs with their walnut bodies.

Hi guys,

Sorry, I hadn't seen your posts and for some reason I seem to have posted this ad twice!!

Yes, German LX. AAA Flamed Maple, but this one is spalted AND quilted!

Black hardware- yes, I agree. I almost did (and still might). You can do the lot for under £100, direct from Warwick.

Absolutely the nicest Streamer LX I've seen. A few months ago I would have jumped on that but sadly, now is not the time.

Best of luck selling and have a free bump.

Incidentally, what does all this 'bump' stuff mean..??
BUMP! it to the top of the list. Understand?

I'm still looking to sell this if anyone is interested.

£950 or trade plus cash for a Custom Shop 'P' or a working and reliable 1970's SVT.

That's a great price. I have the same year LX5, and they're lovely instruments. Slim neck profile, too. Not a baseball bat in sight.

Bump.

No...!!

I've no idea what it is, but I'm sure no one wants one of them..... :)

You should have searched: it's been listed on here for ages.

Hi,

Lovely bass, the wood is stunning. On a pedantic note, there's a difference between quilted and flamed
Unusual to have spalted too - it's subtle and beautiful. Good luck with the sale

Everyone loves a pedant....... :)

Andy, I can't even play bass, mate, let alone geeetar..!

Joking apart, I'm going to trade this on Friday at a music shop if it doesn't sell.

Trade at a music shop? Don't do it mate - you'll be swayed into walking away with something you don't really want and pay their margin too. If I had twice the budget that I've actually got I'd be up the A465 and knocking on your door in thirty minutes. It must be the financial climate - a lovely instrument like that should have flown by now. Good luck whatever you decide.
