StevieD_FenderP2009
I'm a dick head... Really I am... I've just taken delivery of a 1987 Fender American P Bass, only problem with it was that the neck was bowed, so when I just tried to adjust the truss rod, I found it was maxed, the allen key slipped and has basically stripped the thread. Ouch... Can someone tell me what I'll need to do? I haven't got much money left (obviously...) so I need a cheap solution. Pleeease help? Jean-Luc Pickguard
The one you need should be here probably the 099-4943-000 or 004-8688-000 http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/bass_trussnuts.htm You may be able to order the part from your local Fender dealer or someone like allparts uk

dave_bass5
If its a standard 3/16, adjusted at the body type of nut i have a spare one your welcome to (assuming i can remember where i put them). When i got my HW-one a few months ago the nut felt kind of like it was going to stop gripping the Allen key soon so i got Fender to Send me a new one. They actually sent two and so far ive not needed them but im keeping one, just in case. PM me your address if you want it.
