Dosi Y'Anarchy
So im selling my bronco bass, I screwed round with it royally. This is what I've done: + Sprayed the neck with amber-tint nitrocellulose + Replaced the Tuners with 'elephant ear' ones - like the musicmaster had + Replaced the pickguard with a musicmaster one (imported from the states) and filled the holes with glue, matchsticks and plack nitrocellulose (you can still see where they were but its less noticable) + Replaced the pickup with a hand made, handwound musicmaster Aero (the only replacement bass-specific pickup on the market, everyone else who replaces them does so with guitar pickups) + White electrical tape gives that 'competition-stripe' look + White thumb-rest was added. + I do have a musicmaster bridge with the 4 individual sadles which will allow for better intonation, it needs 4 holes drilled to make it top-loading (its made for string through) - i will include this in the sale too. + replaced the chrome barrel knobs with strat-style ones **although I have a different, custom neck-plate in the photos, I do intend on keeping it and not including it for sale.** I'm not a luthier, im not a guitar/bass tech - these mods have not been done to a high standard, but the bass is fully functional and sounds great to me - it looks and sounds 200x better than a stock bronco in my opinion. You can see a video of me playing the bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=9sQ8KGkdrKQ Our singer hates Jazz, we definitely cant play jazz (im just not that good), so bare that in mind when viewing this abortion of music. Here a link to the photo album of the build + finished pics: http://s135.photobucket.com/albums/q143/dosiyanarchy/bonco/ This photo shows the difference the Nitro neck-tint made against the bare wood: These photos show where I tried to fill the holes: The bass could probably do with a good setup, but I think I set the intonation correctly and its go a fresh-ish set of DR Shortscale roundwound Bass strings. I would like £150 for it including UK postage - if no one wants it for that price, I am happy to keep it and continue modding! (i've got a couple of CTS 250K pots that i might throw in) Payment via paypal please Edited May 23, 2011 by Dosi Y'Anarchy
