Yamaha BB range are great too. I got one on ebay for £150 and someone bought one the next day for about £130 - BB414.
Miles better than my MIM Jazz.

I thought the Warwick rockbass corvette $$ was closer to £550 - £650

I've tried one, its not as monsterous as a full on warwick $$ but pretty close!

You should be able to find a SH German Warwick Corvette Standard for about £400 on the bay.

Thanks everyone, I made a list of a few suggestions and tried some out at my local, unfortunately he had a Fender Jaguar in... I proceeded to have a little go and was in there playing for about an hour on it - so I'm sold.

I couldn't afford £750 he was offering so I'm still gonna wait for a second hand one, but it looks like I'll be crawling under a rock and checking the market place 5 times a day until one shows up!
