By the way the surprise change to the spec was that it was ordered with a 3 coil pickup but it was changed to a FOUR COIL PICKUP!!!!! f***ing BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!

I'll be quizzing Alan about that at Bass Day tomorrow, I'm sure, but... what are the switching options on that then? Is it like two humbuckers in one housing or something?

Not 100% sure. Perhaps Alan can help. I dont pick it up till next Sat but as i understand it it can swap between two humbuckers in the front and back and all four on.

All four coils in series. Both sets of two in series but going out in parallel. One set of two in series.
That is what Aaron sent for the wiring.

I have my first band practice on Friday so i want to reserve full judgement until then and do a proper review. But my immediate impression is that it is by far the best bass i have ever played.

Holy moly that's a lovely bass. Very interested in how the four coil pup sounds and I love the way in which the body doesn't detract from, and highlights in fact, the absolutely stunning bookmatched fretboard. Enjoy it in good health!!!
