Annoying Twit Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) Is this real fretless bass on the Trevor Jones track "Hallucination" on the Labyrinth soundtrack? http://www.we7.com/#/album/David-Bowie/Labyrinth (track 6) At first I presumed like lots of the sounds on that track, that it would be synthesised and played from a keyboard. But, listening to it again, it does sound rather convincing. So, is it real, or would I not recognise a real fretless if someone whacked me over the head with it? Fat Rich Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Probably real fretless although I couldn't hear it too clearly on my PC speakers! Sounds very 80s and similar to Eric Serra's playing on Subway and The Big Blue soundtracks (although it's unlikely to be Eric on the Bowie track). Quote
Annoying Twit Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 Thanks. I was thinking that it was really damn good if that was a synth. Too good to be true it seems Quote
