badboy1984
I'm looking for a first fretless. I'm currently own warwick, musicman and fender basses but they all fretted. So I want to buy a first fretless to try. I've done some research and I've filter the 4 below. 1) Squier VM Fretless Jazz (from £250-300) 2) Vintage Icon VJ96 Fretless Jazz (£200) 3) Warwick Rockbass Corvette 4 or 5 string fretless (£210 - 240 in Thomann) 4) Warwick Rockbass Alien Acoustic Fretless (£350 in Gear 4 Music) Was wondering which one is good for a first fretless and good buy as well in term of cost and quality. They all feel good to me so i'm looking for sound wise instead.
ikay
The Squier VMJ fretless is an excellent first fretless. General quality of build and sound is very impressive for something at this price point. Got me started. I've since acquired a 5 string fretless (probably a step too far given my meagre abilities) so may now sell my VJM. If you're interested drop me a PM
bh2
+1 for the Squier... I play a 62 Jazz fretless and I'm looking at one of these as a backup.
