The group is making the trek in support of Allman’s upcoming album, Low Country Blues. The album, which actually features bassist Dennis Crouch, is a collection of cover songs by famous bluesmen, including Muddy Waters, Otis Rush and B.B. King. Jemmott is one of the most heard yet under-appreciated bassists of our time. As a key architect of Atlantic Records sound of the 60’s and 70’s, he played on tons of hit records by Aretha Franklin, King Curtis, Wilson Pickett, B.B. King, and more.
