New Genz Benz Shuttle heads

Hi all

Genz have released these in the US..

Shuttle 3.0 - 300w into 4ohm - $550:



Shuttle 6.0 - 600w into 4ohm... 3.5lbs, tube pre - $800:



I wonder what the UK prices will be.. the same in £?

I'd say you'll not be far wide of the mark... $ = £ is the way it normally pans out when USA stuff is released in the UK.

I have yet to get the official UK prices on these, but they are looking very good, 300w at 4 ohm on the 3.0 and 600W at 4 ohm on the 6.0. No 2 ohm operation at the moment on these.

If they sound as good as the Neo Pak/GBE models then hold your hats!!

I will get prices in the next few weeks, delivery to the UK will be later in the year - but again I will give you all the heads up when they are expected in.

If you look up the range at the GBE amps they are adjustable and footswitchable as well.

I'd like to see an ALL valve version....and/or a version that goes down to 2 ohms.

I've a shuttle 6.0 in transit - I'll do a comparison with the Genz GBE750 and Neopak amps when I've had a good play with it.

Shuttle 6.0 arrived today, I'll have a good play with it at the weekend (hopefully) and post some more details, but first impressions are:

1/ Can't tell the difference between the shuttle and the neopak using the DI (preamp and eq seems to be exactly the same)
2/ Build quality doesn't seen to be up to the same standard as the neopak or the GBE750
3/ Volume wise I can't tell the difference between the GBE750 and the shuttle (into the same cabs)
