ThomBassmonkey Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I've always found that straps are either relatively short and suede or long and canvas, does anyone know of any long(I'm quite a big guy, so the longer the better) suede straps? I have a couple of levi's ones that are brilliant for gripping and I have a seatbelt strap that's a good length but slips, very annoying to never see any good grippy ones made from good fabric. Alternatively, anyone got any hints on how to lengthen the suede ones without the strap coming over my shoulder totally? Thanks Quote
Owen Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 http://www.italiastraps.com/new-sale-page.htm Arrange with a friend to buy one each and get them for a good price. They are great. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I've had a bunch of custom made ones done in leather that are long. EBay has a bunch of longer straps for sale in leather. I'm sure most makers would do suede too. Alternatively I bought some wide long straps made of canvas and these don't slip at all -perhaps because they are wider? Quote
misrule Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Levy's do extra-long suede straps -- I've never been able to find them in this country but Andertons in Guildford can order longer back sections (the extendable bit) from the Levy's distributor to adapt your old one. They quoted me £8. Cheers Mark Quote
ThomBassmonkey Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Thanks chaps! I think I'll try out that Italia Straps, Owen. They look reasonable prices with the BOGOF deal. Quote
