Freddiel75
Hi, firstly - please excuse my lack of knowledge as I have never been that much of a technical person with bass equipment. Can this pedal be used directly through the cab without using my bass amp or do I need an amp in order to power it? I currently use an Ampeg B2RE bass amp (which I am selling by the way) - does anybody have any experience of using this pedal through this amp and if so did/does it sound any good? If I need an amp to power it, can I buy just a basic power amp and if so what recomendations do you have? Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance Kind regards Freddie
TomTFS
It still needs some kind of amp to power the cab. I've run mine straight into a power amp and cab but it didn't sound quite as nice as it could have done, it's nice to still have some control on the amp as well. Lozz196
With my Orange Terror (now sold) I used my Sansamp Bass Driver as my eq, and used the Terror, with all eq set flat, as a power amp. As the previous post states, you will need an amp, however the Sansamp in my opinion is a great piece of kit. I used to have a Trace Elliot head, and the Sansamp made the hi-fi sounding TE sound like an old warm tube amp. Can`t see you having any problems putting it through the Ampeg.
