73Jazz
Dear Basschatters, i would like to offer you a really amazing and rare bass, in a condition, that is remarkable. This original 1968 Fender Telecaster bass was stored from 1987 and not been played anymore. You will see this in the remarkable condition she is in, even the ashtreys are shiny. The thing to cry about is,this bass was one of those really rare pink paisley tele basses, but after his hippie years..my father let a luthier strip of the finish and did some kind of clear finish on it. Pink Paisleys are more than rare and selling up to 18.000 USD.(aargh:)) You will still see the pink finish under the control plate cavity in a picture i will attach. What is not original: - All pickguard screws are not original. My dad used other ones with same size and i replaced them by original Fender screws. The only thing, which is not original!!! (You see Schaller Security Locks on the pictures, but i will put on the original ones from 1968, before she leaves my home) What should be said: - The Pickguard is not black, Pink Paisley Telecaster basses used Plexi Pickguards, so this is of course the original Plexi Pickguard! with black paper under it. Can be removed easily. - The luthier did a little contour on the body on request, which makes it more comfortable to play. It is just as slightly you wouldn`t recognize it, if you do not know it.(see picture) - The control plate is a little bit chipped of at the front knob(see picture) That`s all!!! The bass: If you never played an original Telecaster bass from these days, you will hardly understand, what tone this instruments have. Please do not compare it to a Sting Signature bass for example, that would be ridiculous. This is not a muddy vintage plok plok sound! These basses sound amazingly modern. They have a really low end and fantastic "piano" strings. The sound will fit perfect into any mix of any kind of music. the sound is like a couch where your bandmates can sit down and chill. (Please listen to some professional files on youtube or music from Sting/ZZ Top for example, you see: Sting/ZZ Top this basses are versatile!) The Telecaster bass was Fender`s first Reissue of the early 50`s Single Coil Precisions. But you wouldn`t believe how beautiful this bass sounds with slap techniques. The Neck is straight as an arrow, the pickups have a lot of output and is delivering tons of tone. It plays like heaven. You will not often see original Fender Telecaster basses these days, in this condition, i think never anymore. Are crazy, or why are you offering this bass!?: Honestly, i love the splitcoil precision sound more. I play rock music and i love the aggressive tone of an splitcoil precision, i want the bass right in your face. The Fender Telecaster is not that kind of bass, the Telecaster is more a gentleman but also present in the mix. maybe if i am getting older i will bite my arm off for this. What are you looking for? I would like to trade the bass with a Fender Splitcoil Precision or maybe Fender Jazzbass from the 60`s. If there is a difference in value to your bass, adding money to make the deal fair in both directions is possible. You fell in love with the bass, but you do not have a bass i am looking for?just contact me, maybe i am willing to sell the bass. I am located in germany, shipping in Europe will be no problem. Of course the bass will be shipped more than safe, so there is no possible concern about getting harmed. If you like to collect the bass, you are more than welcome to do this and while you are playing her, i will serve you the best coffee you ever had. You have further questions?please do not hesitate to contact me, i will answer them immediately. I have 365 feedbacks on ebay with 100%, see also my feedback thread here on basschat Feedback on Basschat Here are the pictures: Edited December 27, 2010 by 73Jazz

But i am looking for a trade with a P or J from the 60`s.If there is a bass offered to me, the basschatter and me will find money adjustment, if necessary. As i stated above:" maybe i am willing to sell the bass" If so, i will think about a price, when i know i want so sell it. Hope that is okay for you and your rules. If there is a basschatter really interested in this bass, he is aware of the value in my oppinion. I am looking for a fair deal. I am not looking for 20.000gbp and i am not selling it for 500 bucks. It is important for me, to find a person who will love the bass. If there is one, we will find a solution to make the best for both sides. kind regards Edited December 23, 2010 by 73Jazz
