danhkr
Got chance of an old Boss CE-2 chorus pedal at a reasonable price. I know a few bassists use them but was wondering if they suffer from the same sort of 'reduced bottom end' that guitar distortions can when used on bass? I know there are dedicated bass chorus pedals out there, so didn't want to waste my money if the CE-2 isn't really suited. Any advice/opinions appreciated. EskimoBassist
Very nice sounding pedal, pretty natural - far less modern and metallic sounding than the Boss CEB-3. It does lack a clean blend, I'm partial to basically 100% Chorus anyway so it didn't bother me, although there is a little lowend loss - but considering it was primarily made as a guitar pedal, it's pretty expected. Could always pop it in a cheap blend loop if it irked you enough.
xgsjx
I've got one on loan from my guitarist (had it for about a year now) & find it a very useable pedal. So much so that I'm gonna miss it when I give it back! I use it on a slow deep setting, thickens my sound up nicely.
