I think you can get a sweet sound. but you can also get a real trebly clang almost. I would also like it to be pretty even over the 5 strings, like the B is generally very bass-y to get the other 4 sounding nice, or the other ones are two trebly and the B has a nice sound?

Before pimping, I's personally try to set the bass up to make the most of what you've got - ie adjusting the pickup height and angle. I've owned a few warwicks with MEC electrics and been pretty happy with them!

Did you buy the bass new? It's possible that the B string is from a different set, consequently sounding different - just a thought!

Hmm... good point. I bought it second hand a few months ago now. I was perfectly happy with it at the start then either my ears tuned to a certain tone as it is completely different to the ibanez GSR200 i had before it. I don't know.
