Hit&Run Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Is this cheap trick (or Rick Nielsen particularly) inspired? Seems pretty cheap at the mo. I wonder how much it'll go for? Quote
ahpook Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 saw one on denmark street in london last weekend... something nice to hang on your wall i'm sure ! Quote
Happy Jack Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Not Denmark Street - it's in the window of Macari's in Charing Cross Road. Presumably, if you tuned all five necks to an open chord, you could play the lot with a single sweep of your (mighty) plectrum? What I want to know is, does it come with a hard case or a gig bag? Quote
SJA Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 ah, I saw that 5 neck in Macari's a while back- IIRC the brandname they used was Hutchins and it was going for £499. I wonder if they'll get any more of the Galveston-brand stuff over- doublenecks etc. Quote
kevbass Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 totally pointless imo, bet it plays like a dogs dinner Quote
Davetbass Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Why does it have 3 identical guitars in the middle?? Has anyone here ever played a fretless 6 string and what would it sound like? A cat with a firework up it`s bottom is a close approximation Quote
bassmandan Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008
something nice to hang on your wall i'm sure !
.... but not before you'd seriously scrutinised it's structural integrity! Quote
Guest TheBigBeefChief Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I noticed that the one in Macari's is so badly put together and set up that the e-string is not even above the fretboard on a couple of the necks, instead it hangs over the edge. Quote
Happy Jack Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Sorry Beefy, *** Pedant Alert ***, it's PUERILE. Quote

fleamail Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Yeah you can have a 12 String Guitar, One with 12-52 strings Tuned in C, one with 11-48 tuned in D, one with 10-46 tuned normally and one fretless with flatwounds. Of course you need a months salary and a months time to change strings Quote
