Last Night's Live Aid Doc

Anyone else watch the Live Aid documentary that followed "When Harvey Met Bob"? Loved Alan Lancaster's Travis Bean - it looked HUGE! Any other favourite spots?

Wasn't looking specifically for basses. I was looking for the amps. E.g. Status Quo's bassist using a Trace Elliot head with an Ampeg cab. Though I do believe I saw Martin Kemp of Spandau using a Wal and John Paul Jones playing an old school Ibanez Roadster.(I.e. Not the ones used by Sting or laterly Husker Du's Greg Norton.)

Thought Lancaster was playing a alu necked Kramer.
Also,Kemp wasn't playing a Wal,he just had one slung over his shoulder !!!!!

I didn't watch the documentary, though I do recall watching the Live Aid DVD boxed set with my ex and being impressed at some of the basses. In the music video for "Do They Know It's Christmas" you can see someone playing a Wal bass. Also, Martin Kemp was a well known Wal user, though I think he also played a Musicman Sabre in the early 80's.

You could be right, looked distinctively like a T on the headstock but it was late by my standards and I'm no expert!

Kemp was definitely playing his Wal... I Sky Plus'd it and have it on my screen! Has it slung over his shoulder as they walk on stage, but starts playing when the band do...

I didn't really notice the basses - one of the three girls interviewed at the start and again later in the prog is someone I lusted after at college

I didnt watch the programme, so not sure if it was shown but I do have the live aid DVD. Marcus Miller and the legendary '77 Jazz are playing with Bryan Ferry.
