Sue Ryder body, Warmouth (I seem to recall) neck (actually considerably skinnier than a normal P neck), Fender pup, tone control disabled...I likes, a lot.

Got this 2007 Squier VM Precision for £50 on Monday, It's immaculate, there's not a mark on it.
The neck had been given that much relief you coulda got a double decker under the action at the 12th fret :o
After a few adjustments with the truss rod and a few days to let it settle, it's now looking and feeling great.
The only downside is the Rosewood fingerboard, it woulda been better Maple, but for £50 I'll cope with that :)

£50? How'd you manage that?

Looks very tasty, but I'd probably change the scratchplate myself.

£50! :o I've fancied one of these for ages, that's a bargain! I agree with Uncle Psychosis tho, I'd put a tort scratchplate on there. If you want a maple neck, Gary Mac has one on here for a very reasonable £80, I think it'd look cracking.

Yeah seen it mate, I'm thinking of going for a Mighty Mite,
I prefer the feel of them to the Squier's, this one almost feels like a Jazz neck.

Get rid of the jazz-cover, and place a real, wide, P-pickup cover...

anyway, here's mine:

why? what's the difference? just for the look? (i don't know, i am just asking)

anyway i placed the jazz cover on a precision because my fingers don't fit on the space between the two covers for just a few millimeters. i constantly hit them accidentaly so i placed the slightly narrower jazz cover.....

Already used this pic in the rigs thread, but I though I'd put it in here as well. My 2001 Mexican Fender P Bass, that's recently undergone some cosmetic changes. It's got a Wizard Thumper with new cream pickup covers, a wiring kit from KiOgon and a tortoiseshell scratchplate from The Bass Doc. It always looks quite red in pictures, but I can assure you it's brown! The bridge and strap buttons are new as well, but that's by the by. All it really needs now is a decent set of tuners and it'll be finished, the stock ones are ok but a bit slippy sometimes.

Hello from Chicago..new here..though this Slab P has been in the UK for a few years now. I built it as I wanted the JAE Marque thing..and got it. Sold to a guy who is in a Who tribute band in the UK. Ash body, two piece maple neck, specially wound PU from Seymour Duncan.
