:D It is rather lovely.

Wife is out shopping or lunching or something and I'm sitting here playing along to some Floyd. It's what Saturdays were made for ;)

That is a lovely looking bass in fantastic condition!
Black and maple is a classy combination

Thanks Chris. I know that black is not the most popular finish but this does look damn fine and the neck/fretboard is just lovely.

The covers will be coming off though, love the look but as I mostly play with a pick, they need to go.

'77 or '78, the most stunning Precision I've owned, and I've owned a few....

Looking good, did you do the customising
[/quote]
If you're asking me, then... well, the idea and design was mine, routing was done by a pro, wiring is done by me, but it requires some special treatment by someone more knowledgeable as it has some problems (two PUs are silencing each other because of identical parameters).

My 2004/5 PB57-US and 1996 MIA precisions. The MIA is already featured in this thread but now has a new tort pickguard and pup cover :P)

Here's a picture of my new Fender Nate Mendel Signature Precision. I'd been admiring the one in my local music shop for months and the better half got it for me for Christmas. It's wonderful and the neck profile is great for a jazz bass fan like me! The Seymour Duncan quarter pounders are thunderous but im thinking of switching them out for some Aguilar AG4P-60 pickups, just to see if a more vintage vibe would be better. I'm absolutely in love with it though. Best. Present. Ever!

It's a lovely instrument. Definitely a keeper. The better half is called so for a reason ;-)

Thanks for the compliment. It's Daphne Blue. Somewhat faded but very nice. :-)
