Thanks for the compliment. It's Daphne Blue. Somewhat faded but very nice. :-)
Very nice indeed - looks like its faded into a sonic blue (my favourite colour in a bass!)

Definitely not Sonic.. Sonic is much lighter where as this is quite green. It's a corker though and rarer than hen's teeth..

So who's giving away free '63 AVRIs then?

It's a great looking bass, by the way!

Apologies first because I believe my photos have gone a bit wonky.

Nonetheless I'm pleased to introduce my pair of P's, the first is a VM Precision with a 1/4 Pounder thrown in there. The second, a MIM Deluxe Active P that I basically stole (£300 second hand on eBay) in about 2005/6.

It is indeed. It's a weird colour TBH. Lovely but weird. Where the light hits it it's a metallic red but that really quickly fades to a rich reddy brown. I like it!

Here's mine - bought when I was about 16, inspired by Bruce Foxton....

'78 US, all original

Here's my TwinSplit.
Immo Custom Shop modified and improved Encore P-Bass copy. With all the work and parts, costed an equivalent of about 100 quid, which is a ridiculously low price for an instrument that awesome. Powerful beastie, way better than I expected it to be.

Here are my two current Precisions:

Fender US Deluxe Precision Bass V w/ Aguilar OBP3 and Nordstrand NP5:

Fender Mark Hoppus (2011) with US Standard Precision neck, HMV bridge, Nordstrand NP4, concentric vol/tone with orange drop cap, custom pickguard with the P route in the standard position (moved from the neck back towards the bridge with the second coil flipped the correct way around):

my slightly modified '78 USA precision. Stripped the tobacco sunburst when it got too chipped. Fitted a Schaller bridge and it already had the ricky bits when i bought it from my drummer's cousin sometime around 1981 or 82. . Works in stereo too :-)

That is lovely. Why, oh why, is Fender not doing this colour nowadays? Very jealous.... :D

I finally got time to take the photos from my camera, so here it is, for anyone who is interested. Fender Nate Mendel signature precision bass (before Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder was replaced by Aguilar AG4P-60).

From left to right - '78 mij Morris, '98 Duck Dunn signature, '84 mij Squier SQ series and a custom luthier made to my specifications '57. The first three are completely stock with original cases, case candy and hang tags. What can I say - I am one happy man!
