For Chris Horton........

OK, a hastily taken shot with my iphone, after work;

'53 build; '82 JV; '60 P ;'66 Slab build
'61 J
'52 P; '58 P; '66 Slab; '68 Tele

Thank you so much Rick!
I am blown away to be honest , seeing all those original , beautiful examples of Fender periods all in one picture is just incredible.
It is the most impressive bass guitar collection of original vintage Fender basses that I have ever seen!

Could this be the best collection of original 100% stock Fender basses in the world ??!!

Rick, I am blown away and speechless ....... and envious (in a good way)! You are a great man and true preserver of the Fender legacy!

P.S. Please, excuse my pathos, but it's genuine - I am speechless

Probably not even the best collection in the Midlands, but I'm very fortunate to have found some truly fine pieces.

Appreciate the comments Chris, you'll have to pop in when you're next at Little Billing!! :)

Wish I'd never sold on my 2012 FSR. The US standards are nice.

A P bass comparison.... care of Ed Friedland

Isolated bass:

Full mix:

The interesting point is how similar they all sound and how there is even less to separate them in the full mix.

I'd go white pearl or mint green myself! But tort would still look great!

I absolutely love those Antiguas!

Anyway, here's my P-Bass - not a Fender but it definitely can compete head to head(stock) with the "real" stuff:

An '80 Fernandes. Those lawsuit-era Japanese basses were really great - I'm GASsing for a Greco Rickenbacker atm.

Does anyone else use a bridge cover but no pickup cover? I love the look and am about to order one for my sunburst Standard.

Yup, on both mine, best way :)
Means I can palm mute without worrying about pushing the saddles around.
