Pino Palladino does on his 3TSB P.

Does he? I'll google it. Cheers.

Yup, on both mine, best way :)
Means I can palm mute without worrying about pushing the saddles around.

Does anyone else use a bridge cover but no pickup cover? I love the look and am about to order one for my sunburst Standard.

One with rounds & one with flats... '84 Tokai with an old 'model P', and 2009 'Roadworn' with a Seymour Duncan SPB-1

It has a (I think) CV Jazz neck, a Seymour Duncan QP and a Gotoh bridge. Saw me through a gig in driving horizontal rain in Wales once - I unplugged at the end of the set and poured the water out of the input socket.

EDIT: This actually used to belong to Simon1964 - blimey, did I really buy it (first time round !) in 2009 ?

Been playing it lots this weekend. A P with a Jazz neck - superb !

Lol - just stumbled on this while searching for something else. That really was a cracking bass. The specs are exactly that. One of the best basses I've owned, and one I regret selling!

I've actually performed a bit more swaperoonie on it - I swapped the neck with my 'stunt jazz' a white squier CV jazz bass...purely on the superb playabliity of the jazz neck on the precision that you used to own.

Blimey - it's a bit confusing to keep track now !

P bass tone and jazz neck is perfection as far as im concerned. My Nate Mendel has a narrow nut width and my Limelight has a jazz neck and it's easily the nicest 'fender' I've ever owned/played (the total of which is easily in the hundreds!)

My 3 precision basses.
Had the black one for a long time, modded with new pickups, brass nut, gotoh 201. Lots of growl!
The Squier VM 5 is stock other than swapping the bridge for a chunkier version, picked up the sunburst Squier yesterday, 97' put some flats on it, shoved some foam under them, loving the tone..

Thought I would finally add to this thread after trawling through all the pictures on here making myself jealous.
My 2013 American Deluxe Precision; sounds amazing and plays like a dream. Find myself using it way more in passive than active though which is the opposite to what I thought I would be using before I bought it. Thoroughly recommend these basses!

Here's my birthday bass, neck is a month to the day of my birth, body is 9 days out (which I figure is just the time to ship it to the UK in time for me).

USA Fullerton

Very tempted to add a bridge cover to it

Yet another Sunburst/rosewood/tort combo. Have since put correct flat-top knobs and BBOT knurled bridge back on.

I had a Fender P (placid blue?) for a while but never really bonded with it. Had it setup with flatwounds and I loved the tone but I never went to it as my first choice when going out to practice.

Recently picked up this PJ and play it predominantly as a P with a little bridge dialed in. I wanted something a little Korean / Jap punk rock.

But, I saw this on Youtube a few days ago. Theres something about it, and it could be Renes playing, sounds really good with that pick.
