I Guess I started a new thread without seeing this so I'll join on and show my newly acquired P Bass

1974 Black on Black with maple board with heavy natural relicing. Ive named her Tori after the 'J Torres' stamp on the inside of the neck. His neck are notriouly good so my research and experience states. This has not one dead spot. Wonderful

Shes a beauty. Quite heavy but plays and sounds exactly as should. Cant help chucking a few Roger Waters and Steve Harris numbers through her. Aint they wonderful basses??

Oh wow....thats a fantastic looking specimen. Shame with my black body is that it doesnt transform with age anywhere near as nicely as oly white. :)
Well, OK... finally took some pics of my USA 1976 P.
This is the only acceptable way to 'relic' a bass -- but it does take 35 years. :)
great photography..nice
Got to admit, total fluke. I really wanted some of those canvas prints of my basses for my teaching room/studio, to go make the place a bit more interesting/arty and personal without the pretentiousness of having photos of me playing hanging up :)

Her indoors wouldn't let me have them (because I was nagging her to take the shots) unless I took the shots myself, so I had a go. I reckon they'll look good when they're done :)
Thats a great shot :)

Can you pop round and get some funky pictures of my basses
Just take some yourself. I literally just pointed the camera and clicked. The only reason this is any good is 'cos the missus has a good DSLR.

Personally, I think the picture of the Jazz (in "Jazz" gear porn) is much cooler! Probably because of the 70s decal.

The sepia on this does make the wood like really pretty though :)

Very nice! I can look at that and visualise what mine would have looked like had someone not stripped the paint off

I now own this Roger Waters '70's P bass built by cd_Dave. Hope he don't mind me using his photos, far better that any I could take. It plays great, looks fab and I am mad for it.

it's a 1964 by serial number - has sept, nov or dec 63 stamped on neck - i forget.

all original bar scratchplate, knobs and black finish - may have been green originally but was in a bad way when I got it so had it rebuilt/refinished by Brian Eastwood - lovely to play. light and super low frets/action.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure you'll find that body was once a westfield p bass copy- I still have mine (same trans red finish) was the first bass I ever owned and what a stunning finish when it hits the light!!!!! I've done exactly the same to mine as hated the flimsy neck but left the pick-ups in as it gave me a great range of sounds......

My face just melted off. That's so awesome.

I've been wanting to get some covers for mine, and now I'm convinced!

I think it could be the body from this bass:

Looks damn close to what I have.

Arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhh! My YOB Precision, and black, too. If it had a maple board, I'd have swooned like a big girl. Still just GAStastic, tho...
