Precisions

Some beauties on this thread.

Here are a couple of mine. In fact, they're my two fave basses ever!

The sunburst is a 73 and the black & maple a 75. I am NEVER selling either...
I'd like to show off my little family, including the latest acquisition (bottom).

Please excuse the Warwick, she knows her place isn't in this thread :)

That's a lovely black beauty. The fretboard looks an unusual colour - is that just the light? Also the fretboard looks to have some interesting figuring on the wood.

Thank you :)

It looks to me like someone has attempted to stain the fretboard at some point in the past, and it's just taken in to the grain. I quite like it though, it's unusual. It is maple, but looks almost pink from a distance.

I'll try and take a close up later!

I`ve I had lots of P basses over theyears, US ones, Jap ones but have always got shot of them because I get bored with them quickly. But I am of the opnion that everyone should have one in their collection and so, I put this together to satisfy the P bass craving when it appears.

Squire body, Jap 57 reissue neck, Wilkinson tuners, Kent Armstrong Hot pickup, wiring upgrade kit and Halfords Montego red paint job. It`s sound pretty good through my Sansamp and is nice and light.

It's now Capri Orange!
Gorgeous! Needs a brown vinyl roof mind... :)

Thanks man! Forgot to mention, it`s fiited with Status rounds that have been smoothed down to feel like flats and are superb strings. If you like the feel of flats but with a bit more zing, these are the babys for you.

Been waiting for months for this day.
This is also a thread in Build diaries " from ugly duckling to bang tidy" for full information "Fender precision 50th anniversary"... my 50th anniversary of being born. but basically a 2008/9 MIA. New custom neck, Lindy fralin pickups and colour change. Sounds monsterous too. Thanks to the very talented David Wilson of DW guitars in Haltwhistle Northumberland
regards
Keith

Just had to add a pic of my pride and joy dozing peacefully in her coffin!

Don't be fooled . . . . . . . . . she growls like a lovesick bulldozer!!!
Precision? Didn't think you would have a precision...

lol!
I've had this username forever on another music site - can't believe nobody had it here.

I've had countless basses; Rickenbackers, Jazzes, Gibson Explorer, Flying V, this list is quite long but I'd always promised myself a Precision and I wasn't disappointed. This is the first one I've owned and it'll never go up for sale. I tried three other (and arguably better colours) Precisions the day I bought it, but this had a distinctive voice of it's own and I was sold!

Fender Precisions . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Carlsberg don't do basses . . . . . but if they did :)
