Hamster
I saw this on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Funk-Bass-Bible-Re...2366&sr=8-3 .....but there's no review. Has anyone read it and can recommend it? I'm looking for some accurate tabs of funk / soul / motown if you want to suggest some other books Hamster

Hamster
Ok, it didn't say anywhere that it was just a tab book - I was hoping that it was a sort of history of funk with a few tabs in it Most of those are reasonably simple - but the thing is, as with all these books you can never tell how accurate the tabs are without personal recommendations. Thunderthumbs
If you're after some Motown, I can highly recommend Standing In The Shadows Of Motown Great book, with plenty of history about James Jamerson, and lots of sheet music accompanied by the tracks played by lots of top bass players. The sound's also recorded with all bass balanced one side, and all the rest balanced the other side.
