Lozz196
I`ve not noticed anything like this with mine, but up to date have only used it at home, with the accompanying "home volume". Got a practice on Thurs, so will keep an ear out, and let you know if I experience the same thing.
wateroftyne
Nothing on my RH450 that I'm aware of, but it's always muted when it's powered up.
Muzz
Yep, my RH450 does that. It's not a noise from the speakers, Lozz, it happens with mine whenever it's switched on (even when I'm using headphones and they aren't on my head), and seems to come from the amp itself. Now I'm hoping it's nothing significant
molan
My brand new Staccato does exactly the same thing, pretty sure my old RH450 did as well. In fact the RH did something similar on power down as well. I don't think it's anything to worry about. I asked TC & they told me something about just circuits powering up. Muzz
And from me...not that I was worried at all, you understand...
Legion
It's a common occurence with the types of switched mode power supplies used in Class D amps, nothing to worry about.
charic
I always thought it sounded cool anyway
SMV
My RH450 makes the noise too. When I first heard it I just thought it was cool Maybe I should think more about these things!!
Lozz196
I`ve never heard anything from mine, tho if it`s a common feature, my not hearing it is an obvious warning to playing in heavy rock & punk bands for 30 years
Musicman20
I get a very very low whirling noise which is just the startup of the amp. Ive tried 3-4 of these amps and they all do it. Dont worry

Seems normal for this amp (RH450) and I guess by extension the Classic and Stacatto too.
Lozz196
I listened out for it on mine last night, and it does do it, so from all other input as well, it seems that this must be regular for TCs gear. Glad someone else noticed it first, I`d have gotten paranoid otherwise.
