Roland Rock
I'm on the lookout for a backup bass and came across this: http://www.guitarandampshop.co.uk/acatalog...ss_Guitar_.html I know the aesthetics will be polarising, but I really like it. What online info I can get, it sounds good for the money. It's a backup bass, so will only really be used if the Precision dies onstage. Most of the time it will be hanging around pubs unsupervised. The Fiesta Red Squier CV is always in my mind as an alternative, but it's more money

Not had much of a play but the brief unplugged impression was favourable, like many of the modern low to medium range Arias. Nicely made too for the price range - if you like the looks (I definitely do) and can find a well-priced one it might well make a good backup. Best try & find one in a shop for a tryout, though. Jon. Roland Rock
Cheers, I just spotted one on EBay for £105. I won't get a chance to try one out, but could be worth the punt
