Bass is the place Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I was so sad to hear about the recent passing of British bass legend Mick Karn, my thoughts are with his family and friends. His fretless bass playing has inspired me as much as Jaco. I regret not seeing Mick Karn live, I was going to see him at a gig in Manchester about 6 years ago. Sadly the tour was cancelled. Over the last few days i've been listening to all things Karn which inspired me to transcribe a few of his bass riffs! I've presented them in standard notation which you can download on PDF off my website.
