jayblaze Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 sould be more pics of this later this week Quote
whynot Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 My Clover headless 5 is 36" scale. I have smallish hands and find it fine although the slim neck helps. Maybe worth trying the neck before the bass is completed so Jon can shave more off if you think it needs it. Quote
BigRedX Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 IME the build quality/construction method has more impact on getting good low notes rather than scale-length. The low B on my 36"-scale Overwaters is really good, but it's even better on my 34"-scale Sei. Quote
lettsguitars Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) why stop there? go 38". there's no reason why a 36 should be 'a stretch'. you can have a longer body to accomodate, rather than sending the headstock into orbit. Edited February 22, 2011 by lettsguitars Quote

jayblaze Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 go ahead, no problem. that bass is ugly tho Quote

Dood Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I adore Buckeye! My first Shuker was a Buckeye fest - and the thought of a maple board on a Buckeye body does things to me! heh heh! Here's my ole Shuker on the website. I sold it to a very fine gentleman by the name of 'Platypus' Maybe one day I'll get a headless with maple board and buckeye facings again! Quote
